Philip Andrews
Philip Andrews was born and raised just outside of Washington D.C. He has been taking pictures for longer than he can remember. His passion for photography took him to Western Kentucky University, where he will graduate with a degree in photojournalism in May of 2009.
He has had the privilege of working for the Associated Press, the New York Times and Getty Images, and has been awarded internships at Roll Call Newspaper, The Free Lance-Star, and the Associated Press. He has also been honored to win five College Photographer of the Year awards, a first place Hearst award, and was named Kentucky Student POY two years in a row. Last fall he was chosen to attend the Eddie Adams Workshop and received a $10,000 Nikon Achievement Scholarship for Best Student Work.
