Drew Mitchell is a freshman at WKU actively pursuing a double major in news/editorial journalism and political science, a minor in music, and a certificate in political communication.

When not working or schoolwork or reporting on an issue, he can be found in the practice rooms of the Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center going over his personal repertoire of classical arias and art songs or rehearsing with The RedShirts, the men’s a cappella group on WKU’s campus.

Currently, Drew manages public relations at Lost River Cave & Valley, a leading non-profit organization and tourist attraction in Bowling Green, Ky. He loves sharing the beauty of the 68 acre park with local, regional, national, and international guests and enjoys interacting with members of the media from a completely different standpoint.

Other interests of mine include: reading, watching Law & Order SVU, talking, sleeping, and of course eating, which leads me to my interest in this course.

Food is something that has always intrigued Drew. He loves to explore the grocery story and try whatever new kind of food that he can find. Lately, he has been wanting to understand more about organic eating and how it affects the world and our bodies. He hopes to amass a substantial knowledge base on this topic by the end of the course.
